Reef’s Report: Reef the Fox’s column in Keys Weekly

Reef, one of our rescued foxes, writes a recurring column for Keys Weekly called “Reef’s Report” — a light-hearted, fox-eye view of life at the sanctuary and goings-on around the Florida Keys. It is a playful way to share what the foxes are up to while weaving in the bigger story of rescue and care.

Behind the humor is a real fox with a real history: Reef was born on a fur farm and came to Pawsitive Beginnings as a kit, missing toes on a front paw and part of his tail. His column has become a beloved way for readers to follow sanctuary life from week to week and to get to know the foxes as individuals.

The collected columns on Keys Weekly are a warm companion to Reef’s children’s book, and a reminder that education can be as funny and heartfelt as it is meaningful.
