Rescued fox inspires new children’s book from Florida sanctuary founder

GoSkagit shared the story behind our founder’s children’s book and the rescued fox who inspired it. What began as one fox’s rescue became a way to introduce young readers to the foxes of Pawsitive Beginnings and to ideas of kindness, second chances, and responsible care for animals.

The book grew directly out of daily life at the sanctuary, where foxes rescued from the fur and exotic-pet trades receive the lifelong care they could never find in the wild. Turning those real experiences into a story for children is one more way we extend the sanctuary’s reach far beyond the Florida Keys.
